CA 3 - Urban Flooding, UFRMP Phase II and Patna's

On 11 August 2026, the Union Government stated that Phase I of the Urban Flood Risk **Management Programme **covers seven major cities with a combined approved outlay of Rs 3,075.65 crore, while Phase II covers eleven additional cities with an outlay of Rs 2,444.42 crore.

The Phase-II cities are Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Jaipur, Kanpur, Patna, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Visakhapatnam, Indore and Lucknow.

For Patna, the approved project outlay is Rs 222.22 crore, including Rs 200 crore of central financial assistance from the National Disaster Mitigation Fund.

As of the government's 11 August 2026 statement, the central release for Patna had not yet begun.
