📌 Why in News?
The Fourth India-Central Asia Dialogue, held in New Delhi on 6 June 2025, further widened cooperation.
India and the five Central Asian countries agreed to strengthen trade in pharmaceuticals, IT, agriculture, energy, textiles, gems and jewellery. They emphasised financial connectivity, digital-payment systems and greater banking links.

A proposed India-Central Asia Digital Partnership Forum was an especially significant outcome.
Uzbekistan offered to host its inaugural meeting.
The dialogue also supported greater use of the International North-South Transport Corridor, cooperation through Chabahar Port, capacity-building under ITEC and collaboration against terrorism, terror financing and narcotics trafficking.
Thus India's Central Asia policy is gradually shifting from a diplomacy-dominated relationship towards functional connectivity, digital systems, security and commerce.
